Quaint corner restaurant with a menu that rivals finer and fancy restaurants. The price is moderate, but you'll get a tasty meal that will fill you up!
This is where we start every Sunday Funday. Brunch at Hank's. Eat some damn good meats. Drink the freshest Bloody Mary. Always a fun time. Can't go wrong with them. Love Love Love.
The food was pretty good, but in my opinion there are better places for the price. Now it is very pretty inside and it was fairly quiet, so if you are looking for a nice place to go on a date, this might be what you are looking for. So I wouldn't come back for the food alone, but I might take a date here.
Great daily specials and a good, yet limited selection of meats.
First rate in every aspect! Great food, great service, and prices are very reasonable! The dinners are among the finest in KANSAS!! They could easily drop a white tablecloth on the table and charge three times the price! I'm a touch critic, and I found absolutely nothing for improvement! Flawless!
Really cool atmosphere. Great food, coffee, and drinks. Has lots of partnerships with local businesses and farmers.
Exceptional food and atmosphere. Try all of the desserts!
New favorite restaurant in Lawrence!! Pulled pork sandwich was amazing!
Amazing every time. Get that brined pork chop. Yum!
Had the Wednesday night chicken dinner. I was more impressed with the vegetables than the chicken. It was all good but I wouldn't say it was a $40 meal. I'd like to try some different meals before they move.
Hands down the best meal you'll get in Lawrence.
Great food. Great atmosphere. They were out of French toast though.
Whether I'm hosting guests, wowing a at a potluck or making a special dinner I head here. First off, their pickles are a perfect party antepesto. Cold cuts are prime--the duck pastrami is divine. Their gourmet selection layers such amazing flavor into my own cooking. The fact this young entrepreneurial effort is helmed by amazing chefs makes this neighborhood really special and a tasty spot for a friend date. So grateful for love and care this space is curated with.
Great drinks. Best food in Lawrence.
The food was under cooked, the service was slow, my wife could not even eat her meal. We finally had to track down another waiter to get our check so we could go eat somewhere else.
We have only been there once but the food was fantastic and the space was very cool. The farm to table concept is done very well. They locally source all of their furnishings.
one of my favorite restaurants hands down. the food is absolutely incredible. their drinks are perfectly made too. have yet to try anything that didn't completely amaze me. love it here
Rude server. Quality product by service is always the key. .
Best quality restaurant in Lawrence right now.
Amazing food and wonderful service.
This place has a wide selection of meat that is handled responsibly and creatively. Whether you order from the meat counter or sit down for a meal, it's gonna be good! Some of my faves so far include the goat-scallion sausage, the breakfast biscuit sandwich and the pate.
Pricy but the drinks were fun! Hear they're moving soon. Be sure to catch em in kc.
Best biscuits and gravy of all time!!
Went to the summer waffle iron pop-up. It was amazing
Delicious lunch of rigatoni and pork shoulder. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Will definitely be back!
Great food, relaxed atmosphere. Wonderful locally sourced organic food and drinks.
Wow, is this place delicious. I haven't found anything I wouldn't eat again. The food is memorable in a good way. Update: Tried the burrito and the biscuit sandwich. The sandwich had an awesome combination of ingredients that gave it several layers of flavor which would mask in and out by the smoky meat.Additional Note: This spot uses washable cloths for napkins and all the dishware is washable which means they don't have as much waste as other businesses. Even if this place weren't delicious, I would go here to support these actions.
This place is so awesome. Great sausages and the best Pickles ever. They also have pretty tasty biscuits and gravy.
Hank you old dog you really know how to serve up a tastey slab of meat and I like what you're doing to your salad. You can't beat Hank's.
Interesting types of food with most items made in-house (as I was told). As a picky eater and rather poor college student this might not be the place for me but the burger was still great and the ambience seemed nice.
The food here is amazing, it really is, everything I've had has been incredible. However, the two times I've been here, I've left thinking I need to go get another meal.. And I really am not a huge eater. I ordered a beet salad a few nights ago and it came on a large place and occupied less than a fifth of one side of the plate. It was delicious, but the portions are incredibly skimpy. It seems that the price is high for what is offered. I appreciate that most of the food is locally grown, but it's still pricey. It won't be a place we visit often.
Great food, great ambiance! That was the best brunch I've ever had, so much flavor.
Awesome food with local coffee and good beer offerings.
Had brunch here and I enjoyed it. The coffee they use for the French press was really good - the best I've had in a while. Cheesy grits and bacon were good and the biscuits and gravy were stellar. Side items were a bit pricey ($4 for a single biscuit), but entrees were decently priced. I think a breakfast charcuterie board would be a nice addition here especially given the name of the establishment.
Great food, unusual fare.
Hank Charcuterie is absolutely delicious. Fresh cut meats. Farm to table produce. Bread made at local Wheatfield's Bakery. The atmosphere is open and inviting. You can watch as the kitchen slices, cures, prepares, cooks the meals. Has a counter for ordering to go. I ate the Goat Burrito. Highly recommendable. I enviously spied Bloody Mary's topped with bacon. My entire party was content with their meal. Service was superb - attentive but not intrusive.
This is the best beef tartar I have ever had... ever.
Hank's is the best local gourmet restaurant in Lawrence. Hands down. It's a bit pricey, so hit their happy hour and I guarantee you'll be satisfied!
Hip and cozy space and excellent food. I tried a special, fried chicken and a biscuit. It was the perfect post-half-marathon meal. We also tried their trio of hot sauces, all of which are excellent and arguably the best in Kansas. We also liked their homemade pickles and Bloody Marys, though the mix was a little heavy for my taste (I am biased towards roasted cherry tomato mixes).
Such a local treasure. The food is amazing and always creative
Delicious comfort food and high end ingredient dishes made from local fare.
Best restaurant in Lawrence! Amazing charcuterie board, soups and sandwiches. Chef is amazing. A breath of fresh air on Mass.
bone marrow was literally one tiny spoon full, for $11. So basically paid for 6 small slices of bread. Medium rare burger was served extremely well done, over cooked. The brownie was $10 for a serving the size of a little Debbie brownie. It was good, but way over priced. The service was pretty decent, but I'd definitely never go back. Waste of money, but now I know!
Had some of the best sausages on this side of the Atlantic last night. Started off with duck rillettes (which could rival some of my native French South West) they were delicious over fresh bread from the bakery a few doors down. Lawrence and Kansas has landed a culinary gem.
Amazing food and great atmosphere. Do try the goat burrito. Hard to go wrong here.
Lovely place!! The food is great! The cheeses are wonderful!
I'm not a fan of corned beef but HOLY S*** this place doesn't play no games. They definitely changed my mind on how good corned beef really can be. Without a doubt the best food I've had this year. The meat just melts in your mouth. The staff was also very cordial and knew their stuff when it came to the food prep. 10/10 would eat again.
Hands down brilliant food. Great cocktails. Amazing pickles
Took my girlfriend on a date to this location, we ordered two burgers. Her burger was served medium when she requested it be served "more done than well" as she has a condition that makes it difficult for her to eat otherwise. We sent the burger back, requesting it be cooked to completion, and the waiter returned to "inform us that her burger was in fact cooked, more done than well". He did so in a condescending manner, and attracted the attention of others at the location. After doing so I informed him we were leaving, after which he followed us to our car, and behaved as an absolute animal, making ridiculous accusations that we were "stealing", rather than just distancing ourselves from the most unpleasant dining experience either of us has ever taken part in. Please do not eat here. For your sake, not my pride's.
